The Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) at NYU School of Medicine was founded in 1989 to advance HIV/AIDS research by supporting clinicians and researchers at our affiliated institutions. We are a resource for scientists and clinicians conducting HIV research. The NYU CFAR is one of twenty CFARs in the country supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
We support investigators designing a study by recruitment of patients of specific populations, stages of infection, or comorbidities through our core facilities, while facilitating research collaborations through our scientific programs.
